At Climathon Skopje 2023, we brought together the brightest minds, innovative thinkers, and dedicated change-makers to tackle one of our city’s most pressing challenges – pollution. This event was nothing short of remarkable, and we are excited to share the successful outcome of this groundbreaking competition.
For two days, the participants worked enthusiastically and tirelessly, combining their diverse ideas and insights to address pollution issues from various angles. Their dedication to identifying sustainable digital solutions was truly awe-inspiring, while their hard work, inspiration, and collaboration exemplified the spirit of Climathon.
Eleven exceptional teams joined forces, each armed with creativity, passion, and a determination to pave the way for a cleaner Skopje. These teams, namely ECO SIGN PTT, MUNCH, ECO QUEST, FLOWEY, PURIFY, VOZIKAY, RUTA, ECO NASTANI, BIO LOOP, ELECTRICITY CHECK, and GREEN SPROUTS, showcased a remarkable array of digital solutions.
The competition was fierce, but the outcomes were truly outstanding. Finishing in third place, we applaud to VOZIKAY team for their innovative approach. Securing second place is the impressive team of MUNCH. And claiming the top spot, honored as the champions of Climathon Skopje 2023 was the ECO QUEST team!
The celebration doesn’t end there. All three winning teams are set to embark on a 6-month journey during which they will receive business support provided by CEED Hub Skopje. This comprehensive package includes mentorship, networking opportunities, access to additional finance, professional advice, training, consultancy, and technical knowledge.
The first and second winning teams are also granted a 6-month co-working space in the vibrant CEED Hub Skopje, creating an environment conducive to further collaboration and growth.
A special shout-out to Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje, for generously supporting this event. The winning team, ECO QUEST, was awarded a 3,000-euro prize to support the realization of their idea. Moreover— they are automatically enrolled in the Investment Readiness Program of CEED Hub and will have the chance to pitch in front of the prestigious CEED Business Angels Club.
Climathon is not just a competition; it’s a launching pad for transformative ideas that will shape the future of Skopje.
