Project Summary:

This program aimed at solving social problems and challenges through help young people develop new skills, learn more about social entrepreneurship and gain new friendships.

The program was implemented by CEED with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development, and the Bureau for the Development of Education.

The program/project implemented 3 social impact workshops for youngsters from 13-19 years old. The aim of the workshops was to help young people to develop their business ideas into social enterprises. The teams with the best business ideas with social impact won 2000 EUR to implement them and a 3 months’ mentorship support in the implementation of the business idea.

Objectives included:

• Raising awairness about social entrepreneurship and social responsibility
• Increased personal empoweremment, learrning and employability skills in youth
• Increase teacher’s capacity to deliver UPSHIFT methodology in schools
• Design and develop teachers’ manual for implementation of UPSHIFT curriculum

Achieved impact:

• Increased entreprenerial and employability skills in youth
• Improved school curricula for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
