Foundation CEED Macedonia
Foundation CEED Macedonia was established in 2008 in Skopje as a non-profit organization that works mostly on a local and national level, but also on international projects, with a special focus on the region. Its establishment came one year after the opening of the CEED Macedonia center, one of the first private business support organizations in the country, and the fifth center in the global CEED network. Today, the Global CEED network has business support centers located in over 15 countries
in the world, mostly in Europe, Asia and Africa, with the HQ located in the Washington D.C.
The Foundation CEED Macedonia was formed with an aim to focus on design and implementation of donor funded projects in entrepreneurship, business support, social entrepreneurship, employment and self-employment, economic empowerment of women and youth, and similar socio-economic topics.
Foundation CEED Macedonia has cooperated with all major donors that are active in the region, including the European Union, USAID, US Embassy, UN (UNHCR, UNDP, UNICEF, and UN Women), Swiss Embassy, British Embassy, World Bank, Open Society Institute, Philip Morris International, and others.
Since 2008, Foundation CEED has implemented over 20 projects with various size in duration (from several months, to 6 years-long projects) and value (from 50.000 to 5.000.000 EUR), on different locations (nationally, bilaterally, or involving multiple countries), with partners, or as a sole implementer.
