Project Summary:

The objective of this project was to support 12 municipalities (City of Skopje, Centar, Kisela Voda, Aerodrom, Tetovo, Sveti Nikole, Kriva Palanka, Bitola, Kochani, Strumica, Gazi Baba, Mavrovo Rostushe) to implement local initiatives for women’s economic empowerment, through designing and delivery of comprehensive set of services for increasing women’s employability and participation in the labour market.
For this purpose, CEED developed and delivered training modules for strengthening the employability, entrepreneurship, and digital skills of women from vulnerable groups, and has designed informative audiovisual products (video, brochure and a business informator).

Following activities were delivered through the project:

  • Conducting desk review of existing research and analysis on the labor market situation in the 12 municipalities, including existing local economic development programmes and measures – comprehensive report was developed and designed and a result.
  • Conducting mapping and identification of potential beneficiaries of the services in close coordination with selected municipalities, with focus on women from vulnerable groups as defined by the respective municipalities.
  • Developing four training modules: (1) Development of business ideas and business plans, (2) Basic employment skills, (3) Entrepreneurship and management skills, and (4) Digital marketing, online sale and use of digital technologies.
  • Development and delivery of four vocational trainings for women from three municipalities (Aerodrom, Centar and Mavrovo Rostushe).

As a result:

Over 400 participants (women) attended the trainings, delivered in 11 municipalities in North Macedonia, on 8 different topics, that raised their employability and entrepreneurial skills
